God Creates a Way When You Can’t See a Way!

There are times when you simply need to press forward, even when you are not sure you can. This past week was an extremely busy week and in some ways I probably pushed harder than I should have. It was Sunday morning and I woke up very tired. We had a series of technical issues with my computer and with the internet before the first service began. While I was prepared, I was not sure about my ability to do what I felt God was asking me to do. I was leaning upon His promise that His strength is made perfect in my weakness.

At one point in the morning service I was so tired, I could not even read my notes. I knew I had the structure of my slide presentation and simply trusted the Holy Spirit to dip into my unconscious competence and keep going. There were things in the message that were not part of my original notes and other things left out, but I thought it seemed to flow okay as I came to the end of the service. For that I was grateful.

After the service, I received more words of gratitude and thanks than on most other Sundays. I went and had a nap before leading a service at the local nursing home. There is no set up for using my slide presentation there, so I have to depend upon my notes to guide me and I have less time to present the same material that was shared in the morning.

The nap was not long enough and it became apparent quickly I would not be able to see my notes well enough to use them for the most part. Again I was forced to depend upon the Holy Spirit to use my unconscious competence to get the message across. God was again faithful and the number of expressions of appreciation was much higher than normal.

The challenge today was that while this was Palm Sunday, I was presenting a fresh and different look at this event using the title of a book that is yet to be written. I needed to be able to communicate the connection between the foundational information of the Biblical event and the fresh insights I was looking to share. God was faithful, as He always has been. Today brought a renewed illustration for me of Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in Yahweh with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; {6} think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.”

He will do the same for you if you will trust Him, even when you cannot see a way to get through your situation. God creates a way when you can’t see a way!

You Have Power Over “it”! Implement That Strength Now!

According to Jesus you have power over “It.” Notice His words recorded in Mark 11:23, “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.” Luke 17:6 records He said, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.”

Faith is a very powerful universal tool if we are willing to learn what it is and how to use it. Like the energy packed into a seed as small as a mustard seed, the potential for a tree that the birds can perch in its branches is found within its very DNA structure. This is true for faith as well. Mountains of perceived impossibility can be moved through faith.

Faith has great power. Charles Capps in his book, The Tongue: A Creative Force, writes, “Faith talks, it talks faith, not fear and unbelief.

Jesus said your faith would speak to the object (mulberry tree), and it will obey you. In other words, the object would be obedient to your words. IT should obey you.”

He goes on to write, “Let’s bring this into focus. IT (poverty) should obey you. You said, ‘We don’t have any money. We will never be able to make the payments’; and IT (poverty) followed you home. You sneezed and said, ‘I am taking a cold.’ AND IT (the cold) was obedient to your words and the virus fastened itself to your body. You said, ‘I just can’t remember anything more.’ IT (your memory) became obedient to your words. You said, ‘My nerves are on edge.’ IT (your nervous system) became obedient, because Jesus said, IT SHOULD OBEY YOU.”

God has provided you with power over “IT.” You must implement that strength now. In other words, you must implement faith and active it through the words you say. Your words will enhance or diminish the outcomes of faith in your life. This is a universal principle. What will you do with “IT.”

You Have a Choice! Your Outcomes Depend Upon Your Decisions!

In Exodus 3:14 God revealed His name to Moses. He told Moses to say to the Israelites, “‘I AM has sent me to you.’” Genesis 1:27 tells us we are created in the image of God. We have more power and authority than we realize within us and there are those in this world who do not want people to know this truth.

When you understand everything is energy vibrating at different frequencies, it changes how we perceive ourselves, God and His Word. This does not negate the Scriptures, or the universal truths contained in them. Rather it takes truth to a higher level of understanding. It also elevates humanity in terms of God’s creation.

When Adam and Eve chose to disobey God, in an attempt to be like God, their ego was seeking to declare they were God and they could do whatever they wanted to do. What do you think and how do you react to someone who declares they are God? Therefore they believe they have creative power like God, because they understand the power and authority inherent in energy.

From my perspective, I get excited, because I see the prevenient grace of God at work in their lives. This is the grace of God that is at work prior to someone saying YES to the relationship with Him.

I then can relate the illustration of dipping a pail into the ocean and filling it. The water in the pail has exactly the same vibrational frequency as the water in the ocean. From my perspective, the water in the pail is not the ocean. Being created in the image of God, does not make us God, but we do have His ability to create things in our life.

We have the ability to declare, “I am . . .” This power comes as a result of our relationship with God. I have previously mentioned there are more than 30 specific ” I am” declarations we make about who we are as a result of that relationship as found in God’s Word.

Jesus, the Word, who was with God and was God (John 1:1) and who lived among us (John 1:14)

reminds us as recorded in John 15:5, “apart from Him we can do nothing.” Our true power is found in relationship with the Heavenly Father, through the Son as we allow the Holy Spirit to guide and direct our lives. Proverbs 3:5-6 calls us to, “Trust in Yahweh with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; {6} in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will guide you on the right paths.”

You have a choice! Your outcomes depend upon your decisions!

Rest in Faith and Trust God With Your Whole Life!

Yesterday morning I woke up looking for answers regarding several challenges that are part of my life at this time. Hebrews 11:1 declares, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” I was looking for evidence that things were working out in a specific area and when I got up nothing had changed overnight on that issue. Tomorrow I go for a series of health tests and I am anticipating God’s healing touch will be shown on the results.

In conversation with my Heavenly Father I was reminded of what transpired in the life of Abraham when he was told by God to go and sacrifice his son (Genesis 22). You might want to read the chapter. I did! Talk about living in the midst of a challenge. Isaac was born a miracle in fulfilment of God’s promise. What does God think He is doing?

Take a look at what Abraham says to his servants in verse five, “Genesis 22:5, “Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.” Then note how he responds to his son when Isaac asks, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”(verse 7). Abraham says, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son” (verse 8).

What was Abraham doing in the midst of his challenge, expressing faith, even when he could see no answer on his immediate radar screen. In the course of our conversation God then went on to reveal some very personal insights about my life, which I am not prepared to share at this time. I am still processing a number of things.

As the day progressed, in small, uneventful steps, what I was looking to see happen overnight came to fulfilment on the first of the challenges I mentioned. God was faithful as I simply waited for the pieces to be revealed, just as Abraham waited on God as told in Genesis 22. I wait in faith on the health test results in the coming days, knowing God will work all things out for good, in reference to what is yet to be.

I encourage you to rest in faith and trust God with your whole life!

God’s Word: a Creator’s Manual to Navigate Your Life’s Journey!

Yesterday I was giving some consideration as to the foundation upon which we build our lives. What role does faith play in this process? For me, having made the decision more than 50 years ago to say YES to the relationship with God, through His Son, Jesus and fully commit my life to Him, where does God’s Word fit into this relationship?

I ask what might seem to be an obvious question, because I am not so sure it has an obvious answer for some people. The start of our relationship begins before we even acknowledge its beginning, because of God’s love for us (Romans 5:8). Our conscious connection starts to take place as we recognize God is reaching out to us and offering to provide what it is we cannot do for ourselves.

When we make the choice to say yes and begin reciprocating His love we learn the significance of what Jesus provided for us through His death on the Cross of Calvary, which impacts who we are in relationship with the Heavenly Father. Spiritual growth happens as a result.

What I wonder about is why it takes us so long to take the pattern of faith and practice from His Word which brought us into relationship and apply it across all areas of life. It was never God’s intention for us to compartmentalize our life into that which we include Him in and that which we segregate Him from.

Alignment of our life to be in perfect selfless love (holiness) is part of His will for our relationship with Him. The Scriptures are not a law book demanding compliance, but the Creator’s Manual to Navigate Your Life’s Journey in relationship to Him!
