As you are reading this, stop and ask yourself the question, “What do I see?” After listing some things, ask yourself, “What do I perceive? If there are people within your sight line. Think about what you can discern about them. What kind of mood are they expressing? Are you seeing anger, frustration, pain, love, enthusiasm, excitement, or any number of other messages they are transmitting in that moment of time?

This is an exercise I would encourage you to practice often. This truly is a SEEing exercise. Like physical exercise, the more you use it, the stronger and more efficient and effective you become. Also, if you don’t use it, you lose it. I am also aware, the majority of people who read this article will not take action and do this exercise. They don’t know, they don’t know, what they need to know, in order to SHIFT their mindset, ELEVATE their energetic awareness and ENHANCE the quality of their life. The do not SEE the point or value in what I am sharing with you. My hope is, they will, sooner rather than later.

You can change this exercise up a little by spending some time looking at paintings or photographs while asking yourself the same questions. For those who implement and fully engage in this exercise, you are foundation building for other benefits, yet to be revealed. Remember, master the basics.

The SEE Method of Living connects you to universal principles, enabling you to move in the direction of living your life to the full, experiencing transformational freedom and expression for full deployment your inherent potential in living your purpose, fulfilling your destiny and leaving a lasting positive legacy.

Jesus asked a paralytic man an important question (John 5:6), “Do you want to get well? I so ask, you, “Do you want live your life to the full, experiencing transformational freedom and expression for full deployment your inherent potential in living your purpose, fulfilling your destiny and leaving a lasting positive legacy? If you answer yes, then you must be prepared to actively engage in the process that will make it a reality for you.

What do you see? This question arose during a private time after a live training session I was hosting yesterday. As I began to writing this article, I stopped and looked out the office window at our back yard. I took a paper and pen with me to observe my response. At first glance I saw patches of snow on dull, brownish coloured grass, areas of standing water from previous mild temperatures and heavy rain, a garbage can that last night’s strong winds and shifted from it place near the front of the house, a big pile of downed branches and tree limbs gathered from the actions of winter’s attack on our trees.

Choosing to look a little more closely, I noticed the gardens needing attention, waiting for spring to fully arrive, a squirrel looking for food and defaulting to the easy pickings at our bird feeder.

Giving a third look, I noticed the branches in the trees moving with the wind, the blades of a distant wind mill turning in response to the same wind, low lying clouds amid sunny skies passing rapidly overhead, and a scampering chipmunk quickly moving across the open area at the back of our yard.

Lingering in response to the question, what do your see? I noticed the occasional small patch of grass beginning to green in various locations in the yard and tiny buds beginning to form on the tree branches in anticipation of spring.

This exercise reminded me of the importance of staying in the moment, for the moment, long enough to actually SEE what is right before my eyes. So often we think we have seen all there is to see with a quick glance and do not even realize just how much we have really missed.

The SEE Method of Living is an approach to life that provides a mechanism to help us discern and perceive what is beyond the obvious. It is a process, when we take the time to engage in it, that will SHIFT our mindset, ELEVATE our energetic awareness and ENHANCE the quality of our life, bringing a new level of transformational freedom and expression.

Check out the opportunity to learn more at www.TheSEEMethod.com. No cost training is available, at the time of this writing, on this website. What do you see in terms of your life, your potential, your dreams, goals, purpose and destiny? May it be more than just what a quick glance reveals.

The closing ceremonies of the latest Winter Olympic games was held yesterday. I know this because my 87 year old mother kept me informed as to what was happening and how many medals Canada was winning every day. She watched the events from morning to evening as they were broadcast and replayed throughout the day. She was engaged and excited with what was happening. In fact it could likely be said this event was the highlight of her month.

While I am happy for each Olympian who achieved recognition and a medal as a result of their commitment and dedication to their sporting endeavour, I wonder about the lasting value of their moment of recognition in the limelight. Then there are all the other athletes who also poured their life and energy into the process and came home having only the experience of being there to show for it.

I do not diminish the value of the skills, the dedication and commitment, and the character development that resulted from the process of becoming an Olympic athlete. Should these competitors take that dedication and effort into other life endeavours it may be extremely important in their future. It could therefore be of benefit to who and what they become in the pursuit and fulfilment of their purpose and destiny on this earth.

If these athletes do not continue to grow and develop their life vision beyond this experience, it will be a short lived and unsatisfactory conclusion to their life. King Solomon wrote about such times in life in the Book of Ecclesiastes and the Hebrew word he used was, “habel.” According to Strong’s Greek & Hebrew Dictionary this word means, “emptiness or vanity; figurative something transitory and unsatisfactory.”

Millions of people around the world spent a couple of weeks of their life fixated on these sporting events. Small numbers will continue to be focussed on the Para-Olympics which will be starting.

These comments are not designed to put down sports or many other potential things to cause distractions in our lives. It is just something which would be good for us to consider, from time to time, as to what we are actually focussing our life upon, before it is gone.

To have knowledge of universal laws has much value according to the Apostle Paul in Romans 3:2, but he goes on in verse 9 to say, “What then? Are we better off? Certainly not, for we have already charged that Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin.” Knowledge is not power in and of itself. Knowledge may enlighten and encourage and motivate us towards seeking and applying truth, but it does not guarantee we will follow through. Power comes from somewhere else.

The Apostle John records the words of Jesus in his Gospel. “Then Jesus said to those Judeans who had believed him, ‘If you continue to follow my teaching, you are really my disciples {32} and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free’” (8:31-32).

The Expositor’s Greek Testament – Volume 1 says this about these verses, “By abiding in Christ’s word, making it the rule of their life and accepting Him as their Guide and Teacher, they would come to that knowledge of the truth which only experimental testing of it can bring; and the truth regarding their relation to Him and to God would turn all service and all life into liberty. Freedom, a condition of absolute liberty from all outward constraint, is only attained when man attains fellowship with God (who is absolutely free) in the truth: when that prompts man to action which prompts God.”

The Apostle Paul makes it very clear in Romans 3:19 (check it for yourself), everyone is accountable to God for how they live their lives. Knowledge of truth is not enough. The power to live our purpose and fulfill our destiny, leaving a lasting positive legacy rests in our willingness to say YES to relationship to God through Jesus Christ.

Let’s be clear on something. Jesus does not leave you the option of only considering Him as a good, moral, teacher who offers some high energetic thinking and ideas. He declared, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). In essence, according to The Expositor’s Greek Testament – Volume 1 “It is not ‘through believing certain propositions regarding Jesus” nor ‘through some special kind of faith,’ but ‘through Jesus’” we actually make our way to the Heavenly Father.

It is the sacrificial death of Jesus on the cross of Calvary which provides the opportunity for everyone, regardless of their energetic awareness, or their knowledge of universal laws, or their spiritual light and insights, to be able to be reconciled to God and have access to the power which

brings transformational freedom and expression to life.

This is a core, foundational principle in The SEE Method of Living. Can you still benefit from this training even if you don’t believe this? YES, you can, but you will be leaving out a key component of the process. It is always your choice, your decision, your outcome, your reality that is involved.

I first heard the statement, “Your ego is not your amigo” from Joel Bauer. I also heard Troy McClain say, “EGO, means Exiting God Out of your life.” These are two very important statements worth remembering.

Recently I came across another valuable idea from Dean Del Sesto in his book, Shift Your Thinking. He wrote, “Most things are pretty much what you negotiate them to be, so it pays to negotiate well.

It’s no accident that the word ego resides in the word negotiation. Nor is it any coincidence that ego and greed are close companions. But negotiations of the ego and greed breed are no picnic. Any transaction that is driven by ego and the desire to win is a relational wreck waiting to happen, and the collateral damage is always more than what is seen in the transaction.”

While the word “ego” does not appear in Scripture the concept does. This word generally refers to an exaggerated sense of self-importance, demonstrated with a “self-centred” inner focus. There is an important concept to remember when dealing with the ego and that is, if you want to dethrone it you need to replace it with something better. You cannot eliminate it.

Micah 6:8 tell us, “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does Yahweh require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Humility is a power that is superior to self-centred ego, like the law of aerodynamics supercedes the law of gravity.

In saying YES to the relationship with Jesus and surrendering control of your life in total love and commitment to God you create a win-win situation in your life. I would suggest to you, this is the best negotiation action we can implement.
