Discover How to Tap Into Limitless Renewable Energy
Renewable energy is a hot topic in our world. Whether you are a fan of solar, wind, water or any other source of generated energy is not the point of today’s article. The reality is, there is another type of energy that is often overlooked and ignored in our world. It is an energy that does not need wires to bring results, but you must be connected to the Source to benefit. The energy I am speaking about is spiritual energy. The source of that energy is The Source of all, God. Our connection is through a healthy, committed relationship to Him through His Son, Jesus.
The power of God’s presence in your life is limitless and renewable. You never have to worry about an energy shortage or blackout, as long as you are willing to stay connected to His grid. He is committed, on His part, to make sure the connection is always secure. But we do have a responsibility to discover our part in achieving the results He wants to bring into our lives.
Knowing His will, being willing to learn and change, to bring our life into alignment with His Word is an essential part of our commitment to the relationship connection. 2 Peter 3:18, reminds us to, “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”
Luke records for us the following words about Jesus, our model for following the Heavenly Father’s example, “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men” (Luke 2:52).
The process of developing spiritual disciplines for growth is an important ingredient in tapping into and taking advantage of the limitless, renewable energy and power of God in your life. Strengthen your “YES” to the relationship with God and move forward together into your brighter and blessed future.
There is a man in Scripture who God spoke to and this man ran as far as he could from what God asked him to do. His name was Jonah. This man learned the hard way, there are consequences to what we think, believe, say, intend and do, not only in his life, but for those who are in some way connected to him as a result of his choices. Jonah attempted to run from God because he did not want to do what God asked of him.
Jesus told the story of a young man who simply wanted to go off and live his life as he wanted to. He took an early inheritance package and left home squandering his wealth. He found himself homeless and destitute. Finally in a moment of clarity he realized even the servants at home were better off than he was. He came to his senses and returned to his father.
Both of these men found reconciliation awaiting them, despite what they had done. The fact is, even should we attempt to get as far as we possibly can from God, His Word promises us in Isaiah 55:1,”My word that goes out from my mouth, will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
If you think about running from, ignoring, or rejecting God, He will not force Himself on you, but neither will He turn away from you. Stop looking over your shoulder to see if you have out distanced Him. Look ahead! He is waiting for you to arrive at the place where the two of you can be reconciled.
In answer to the question, “How far can you run from God?, never far enough. Even if you decide to say no to Him in this life, Romans 14:10-12 reminds us, “For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. {11} It is written: ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.’ {12} So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.”
It is time to stop running from Him and say YES to the relationship with Him!
Are you allowing your stream of emotions to energetically empower, or disempower you? In many cases the honest answer is the latter. Collins English Dictionary – Complete & Unabridged 2012 Digital Edition says the word “disempower” means, “to deprive (a person) of power or authority.”
Is this what you really want to happen in your life? Tris Thorp in a blog article for The Chopra Center wrote, “Your . . . emotional baggage is primarily responsible for creating the discrepancy between what it is that you say you want and what you are actually experiencing on a daily basis. It’s the dominant driver behind your choices and behaviors, and can be the number one thing that derails you in your day-to-day life.”
Various people, having been driven by their emotions, say and do things they later regret and cannot take back. In some cases, an out of control emotional response, changes their life forever.
God gave us emotions and they are powerful and useful in the fulfilment of our life purpose and destiny in this world, but they must be controlled to be used effectively and beneficially. A steam flowing within its banks has many valuable outcomes, but if it overflows its natural restraints those outcomes tend to no longer be helpful.
There are those who seek to push for outward, legalistic controls, or laws that they believe will provide a degree of success in achieving compliance to a set standard. These outward controls are often based on creating fear of punishment, rather than focussing on the importance and power in compliance.
I read recently of a major impetus in the province in which I live, to provide photographic equipment to school buses in an attempt to catch and charge the alarming number of drivers who do not stop for stopped school buses with their lights flashing. The urgency impregnated, to get where they are going, in the emotional stream of as many as 30,000 drivers per day push them to violate the law as it currently exists. So the idea to create a higher level of fear of being caught and charged is being considered to increase compliance, for the safety of children.
Examples of improper energetically, self-focussing streams of emotions abound all around us. They take place in schools, homes, work places and even churches. One of the items listed in Galatians 5:22-23 in the list of the fruit of the Spirit is, self-control. This character trait is both a result of God’s Holy Spirit being lived out in our lives and being cultivated through proper instruction and modelling. Energetically directing your stream of emotions is a powerful tactic to a more abundant and successful life.
I am quickly writing this article a day in advance as I prepare to head out the door into the bitter cold and wind to head to the hospital in Toronto. This is a trip that has been waiting to happen since October. I am going for a test and depending on what the results are, may involve some medical procedures. So, at this point I do not know how long this process may take. I did not want to risk having to come home later in the day and have an article ready for you for today.
What do you do when the details of your day remain a mystery? How you chose to deal with your intentions, thoughts, beliefs, words and actions will influence how your day will go? I am looking at my vision board beside me, in terms of the areas that have the potential to be related to what I know of my day at this point. The title on my board declares, “Feel Good Now!” I woke up quoting God’s Word in relation to this day. I have put out the intention to continue to declare His Word as the day progresses and trust that all things work for good.
Choose to make each day, a “TERRIFIC DAY”! If you have said YES to the relationship with God through His Son, Jesus, then heaven is already present within you. Give thanks and move forward into the details of your mysterious life yet to be.

The Canadian and U.S. Standard railroad gauge (distance between the rails) is 4 feet, 8.5 inches.
That’s an exceedingly odd number. Why was that gauge used? Because that’s the way they built them in England, and English expatriates designed the U.S. Railroads.
Why did the English build them like that? Because the first rail lines were built by the same people who built the pre-railroad tramways, and that’s the gauge they used.
Why did ‘they’ use that gauge then? Because the people who built the tramways used the same jigs and tools that they had used for building wagons, which used that wheel spacing.
Why did the wagons have that particular odd wheel spacing? Well, if they tried to use any other spacing, the wagon wheels would break on some of the old, long distance roads in England, because that’s the spacing of the wheel ruts.
So, who built those old rutted roads? Imperial Rome built the first long distance roads in Europe (including England) for their legions. Those roads have been used ever since.
And the ruts in the roads? Roman war chariots formed the initial ruts, which everyone else had to match for fear of destroying their wagon wheels. Since the chariots were made for Imperial Rome, they were all alike in the matter of wheel spacing.
Therefore, the United States and Canadian standard railroad gauge of 4 feet, 8.5 inches is derived from the original specifications for an Imperial Roman war chariot.
In other words, bureaucracies live forever.
So, the next time you are handed a specification, procedure, or process, and wonder, ‘What horse’s ass came up with this?’, you may be exactly right. Imperial Roman army chariots were made just wide enough to accommodate the rear ends of two war horses.
Remember from The Power of Living By Design: “We are perfectly designed to get the results we get based on the CHOICES we make.”
As Emily pointed out to me as we read this story, “our CHOICES are DECISIONS, so people shouldn’t say that their decisions, as an individual or as a group, like a city council, don’t matter. Their decisions can affect others for years!”
This is so true…so let me share the rest of this story…the twist to the story:
When you see a Space Shuttle sitting on its launch pad, you will notice that there are two big booster rockets attached to the sides of the main fuel tank. These are solid rocket boosters, or SRBs. The SRBs are made by Thiokol at their factory in Utah. The engineers who designed the SRBs would have preferred to make them a bit larger, but the SRBs had to be shipped by train from the factory to the launch site. The railroad line from the factory happens to run through a tunnel in the mountains and the SRBs had to fit through that tunnel. The tunnel is slightly wider than the railroad track, and the railroad track, as you now know, is about as wide as two horses’ behinds.
So, a major Space Shuttle design feature of what is arguably the world’s most advanced transportation system was determined over two thousand years ago by the width of a horse’s ass.
It makes one wonder? What “design features” of my life have I made without understanding the full “why” behind it? Questioning and knowing our “why’s” can help us to better “Live By Design.”
