Come Celebrate with us!

Yesterday it was determined that there would be an official anniversary celebration on June 30th. It was 45 years ago on that day that I began my pastoral ministry. There was an initial attempt by my wife and daughter to try to keep this event a secret, but since our family has always worked as a team, it was decided this would likely be our best option for this event as well.

If you have been blessed, benefited, or helped by any of the things our family has done over these years we would love to hear from you. While this is about me in a sense, I do not want it to be so. My wife has been an active part of everything that has happened over the years. She has always been a gifted pastor and preacher in her own right. From the very beginning we have worked as a team. When my son was home, he played an important role in what we did as a team. Our daughter is not only a gifted musician, but also highly capable in terms of technology and it is her gifts and talents that enable us to do the things we are currently doing. Please feel free to send cards, notes, emails, videos, testimonials as we will be collecting them for sharing on the special day. Go to BobMcLellan.com/anniversary for information and details on how you can participate.

We will also appreciate permission to share with others what you send, in order to help more people say YES to the relationship with God, through His Son Jesus and live their lives fully committed to Him.

June 30th will be my first Sunday back in the pulpit since my surgery. Yes there will be time to reminisce, but I will also be introducing a vision that will extend over the next 2 decades. For those who will be on location there will be a BBQ following the service and then a come and go desert gathering from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

The service will be live-streamed at: www.SayYestotheRelationship.com beginning at 10:30 a.m. Eastern. We will be on Face Book Live as well, but the schedule for this aspect has yet to be determined. More information will be forth coming.

I am thankful and grateful for the many people my life has interconnected with over the years and the various media through which this has happened. Blessings to each one of you. I hope you will connect with us and share in this celebration.

What Are You Orchid-strating In Your Life?

My yesterday was interesting, how about yours? A major winter snow was being forecast to start around noon. The temperature in the morning was -3 F. before the wind chill. We had Canadian orders to ship so we decided to get them to the post office early in the day. When we came out of the post office the car would not start. This happened once before a couple of years ago so we called our mechanic who came right over to investigate. It was not the battery, so I waited for the automobile club to arrive and tow it to the garage. My wife picked up our daughter and they went shopping while I waited for the tow truck. Standing inside the post office, I observed approximately 75% of the people who came into the post office were not wearing gloves or mitts. I wondered if they really knew just how cold it really was. I am thinking I must not be one of those tough Canadians, because my hands were cold even with gloves.

While shopping, my daughter had the opportunity to rescue three orchid plants. The store was trying to reduce their losses by drastically reducing the price and getting something for their offering. My daughter heard the plant’s energetic cry for help and brought them home. Over the last couple of weeks she has been doing a significant amount of research on orchids and now knows what to do to bring them along. I do not think this event was an accident. Her research time had a specific reason and purpose. If our car had started, she would not have gone into that store. It was not on our agenda to go there and she might not have heard their cry for help.

The picture you see is these plants having been taken through a process from being pot bound to where the roots air drying for twenty four hours in preparation to be transferred over to a water culture with the opportunity to thrive once again. When something unexpected in your life happens, do not automatically look to the negative. Look for what in fact may be the purpose for the change that came into your life and celebrate when you discover it. Things which you have been lead to do, may be the preparation for something that is coming your way.

Romans 8:28 reminds us, “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Take Action Now! Be Willing to Learn and Change!

Yesterday after the service I ask my congregation to stay so I could get their input on the launch of a concept and training I have been grappling with. The feedback I received was amazing and I am very appreciative for the contribution that was made. As I reflected upon the ideas that were brought forth, I was excited to see that they have been listening to what I have been sharing and were spot on with their ideas.

The launch of this new project has now been set back in order to be able to incorporate the ideas that were shared. I have been challenged to move from where I am in this moment of time in my understanding. The goal will be to expand and deepen what I believe God is calling us to do in making His Word more relevant and life changing to greater numbers of people in the times in which we live.

There are those in the “Christian” community who are hunkering down in fear, hoping for the Second Coming of Jesus, to rescue them from this evil world. I am looking for those people who still believe God is powerful enough to transform lives and change cultures, making this a place where His will is done, as it is in heaven. If you believe the same, I encourage you to join with me and together we can, with God’s help, make a difference. 1 John 4:4 tells us, “The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”

Don’t delay! Take Action Now! Be Willing to Learn and Change. May it be so.

Take Responsibility Now to Develop Your Spiritual Growth and Advancement!

God operates on His Word, that which is holy, and this is the foundation of faith. It is time to take responsibility for your spiritual growth and advancement. It is time to leave the “nation of procrasta”, where you are confined by the endless limitations others have placed on you and you have placed on yourself. It is time to lift the limiting lies that allow the enemy of your soul to negatively impact your life. Drifting through life by default is a tool of the devil to keep you from living your purpose and fulfilling your God given destiny. If he can keep you from making a decision to live your life by God’s holy standards of character, he wins and you lose.

It is time to take action and make choices that do not leave you living a life that is deceived and ling short of your full potential. Permanently press the “enter button” to a new creation “in Christ” where you shift your mind set, elevate your energetic awareness and live out the enhanced life the Heaven Father prepared for you through His Son, Jesus. “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own” (1 Corinthians 6:19). Allow the Holy Spirit to guide and empower your life on a day to day basis.

Acknowledging God as holy ought to motivate us in our relationship with Him to live out the practical aspects of holiness. If you are not comfortable with this now, how will you be comfortable with it for eternity? Now is the time to intimately move forward in your relationship with God through His Son, because you still have the rest of your life to live and an eternity beyond.

Look again at the picture story with this blog and allow the thoughts of this article to penetrate you heart and mind to make a difference in who you are in relationship with a Holy God who loves you. Take Responsibility Now to Develop Your Spiritual Growth and Advancement!

Is Your Life Built on a Solid Foundation Through Faith?

What we think, believe, declare and intend about God’s Word will impact our actions which determine our reality. This reality will determine what our relationship with the God who is revealed in these pages is like. How we perceive the quality and closeness of the exchange of communication between our self and God is revealed here.

God divulges His character, His love and His desire to be reconciled to us in His Word. He demonstrates this through the promise of His Son, the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary and His call and commitment for us to say YES to the relationship with Him.

The Scriptures are the foundation upon which our faith is based and our life is to be lived out. The question that must be addressed is whether we will model our faith upon what we know of God’s faith. Is our faith impacting our character in ways which reveal God’s presence, holiness and power within us?

Are we willing to learn and willing and to change how we live our lives to align with God’s Word? Proverbs 1:7 tells us, “The reverence for Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge, but the perverse despise wisdom and discipline.” The literal translation of Job 28:28 declares, “God said to humanity, ‘The worshipful submission, reverential awe, and obedient respect to the Lord is this: wisdom. And to turn from evil is understanding.’”

The Bible reveals the holy foundation upon which our faith must rest. Holy thoughts, beliefs, declarations, and intentions are not dull, boring and archaic. They demonstrate the power and quality of true freedom and life God desire for us to have. Will you build your life on a solid foundation. Will your faith demonstrate this to be your reality?
