I want to start this article with what might seem to be a very simple and basic question, but in reality is so only if your perspective is limited. How many eyes do you have through which you see life? If you have two that reside above your nose and they are functioning as God created them to, take a moment and express gratitude, appreciation and thanks to God for that incredible and valuable gift. Never take for granted your eye sight. How many times have you been looking for something, which you cannot find and it has been sitting in plain sight? This is a reminder we do not always even see the obvious.
There are those who speak about the existence of a third eye. This article is not the place to debate the philosophical, or religious ramifications of whether this eye exists, or not.
I do know there are those who have intuitive ability to see what others have no understanding of how they are able to do what they do.
Some of you will identify with the mother who seemed to have eyes in the back of her head. She could be looking in a completely different direction and know exactly what you were doing, right?
There are those who have lost their physical sight and yet have the ability to navigate life as well, or even better than those who can physically see.
From time to time I find myself singing a chorus whose title reminds us of another important and powerful element of sight. The title is, “Open the Eyes of Mt Heart, Lord.” Spiritual sight is a gift of God. We must desire it, ask for it and seek to receive and maintain it. 2 Kings 6:17 tells us, “Elisha prayed, ‘O Yahweh, open his eyes so he may see.’ Then Yahweh opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
There are specific universal, Biblical truths we must engage in to be able to SEE beyond the obvious. We are told in Hebrews 12:2, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” What do you SEE?
SHIFT your mindset for transformational freedom and expression. ELEVATE your energetic /conscious awareness for the full deployment of your inherent potential, so you can ENHANCE the quality of your life, live your purpose and fulfill your destiny.
