It is no surprise that this article arrived later than most. I am responsible for that. It seems with everything I was seeking to get done in preparation for the 111th anniversary for the congregation I pastor, writing my daily blog article never crossed my mind. It was only when I went looking for it that I realized, it wasn’t there.

I want to express my thanks and appreciation to everyone who had a part in our special service and to all the helping hands and great food for the fellowship time. I especially want to thank my wife and daughter for all they did in making this a special occasion.

Today however was not simply about the past, it was also about the reveal of a new vision statement for our congregation moving forward into the future. The statement now includes our desire to specifically, “pursue and proclaim the universal truth of holiness with the power of God’s Holy Spirit in the energy of a new era.”

Today I also posted on Face Book a short pre-launch video for a soon to be released video series through social media providing short video presentations on the topic of “Practical Holiness for Today.”

My desire is for people to know and experience what God sets out as a standard for daily living when He declares in His Word in 1 Peter 1:13-16 “Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. {14} As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. {15} But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; {16} for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy.’”

Bob McLellan, sending blessings to you, pursuing and proclaiming the universal truth of holiness with the power of God’s Holy Spirit in the energy of a new era.
