I was reading a note from a friend on Face Book yesterday in which she was writing about the heat wave they were having in Los Angeles, California. The daytime temperature was 111 degrees F. And at almost 11 p.m. it was still 100 degrees F. Humidex readings are a Canadian concept so I have no idea how hot the “feel like temperatures” really were in California. We recently had a hot spell locally, but I suspect it was really only a warm spell if you consider what others are dealing with.
Our perspective and outlook has a lot to do with our reality. How we SEE life matters. It impacts our attitudes. What we think, believe, say, intend, and do creates our reality. Be at cause in your life. Aimless drifting will never move you in any direction, but where the external currents of life dictate.
Those currents seek to get you to ascribe to what is deemed, “normal” in our world. I had an interesting conversation this past week with a natural health practitioner during an initial consultation. Her comment to me was, “My goal is not to get your body to a place deemed normal, but to a place where your body is healthy. These two things are not the same.
While she did not use the same languaging terms I have been sharing with you, her thoughts were in alignment with The SEE Method of Living. She spoke about Shifting how we think about our health and becoming Energetically aware of what our body is telling us to Enhance the quality of our life, beyond normal to healthy.
I thought to my self, “WOW, I am in the right place at the right time to receive what it is I need.” I got there because a friend recommended this health practitioner and process to me. How often do we fail to achieve a result we say we want when we will not take action when the opportunity makes itself available? We think we have one health issue, when in fact our challenge is actually “excusitus.”
Sometimes things come into our life so we can learn the lesson we need, not just for the moment, but for the future. We can get bogged down because we refuse to learn the lesson, or we become impatient because the lesson is taking too long to learn. Don’t allow someone else’s normal keep you from being the best version of you possible.
