In the putting forth of words, verbally and/or written, it would be worth considering the emotional foundation and basis with which you charge them. Consider someone who decides to string together a list of expletive words as a result of a fit or anger or frustration. What vibrational frequency is being transmitted in such a moment of time? Remember, we will reap what we sow in every area of life and this includes the emotions which we express.
The emotional charge you give your words dictates the power and energetic impact of your transmission and what will come back to you. According to Dr. David Hawkins in his book, Power vs. Force the frequency of love is about two and a half times higher than that of anger. Attaching love to your words will produce an entirely different response than anger.
Choosing to take control of your emotions so you can determine the outcomes you desire in your life is a process worth considering, isn’t it? There is no truth to the old childhood saying, “Stick and stone may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” Words do matter, and once they are broadcast, can never be taken back. Thinking about the consequences or benefits before you send them forth is important.
The Apostle Peter writes in 2 Peter 1:5-8, ” For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith excellence, to excellence, knowledge; {6} to knowledge, self-control; to self-control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness; {7} to godliness, brotherly affection; to brotherly affection, unselfish love. {8} For if these things are really yours and are continually increasing, they will keep you from becoming ineffective and unproductive in your pursuit of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ more intimately.” This is true not only in the spiritual realm, but also in the physical, material realm.
You have the power to significantly influence the outcomes with others through the words you use and the emotions you charge them with. Using the sequence of response questions, “What, When, Where, Who, How, and Why” will diffuse negative emotional responses in most people and allow for a satisfactory resolution for everyone involved.
Use your words wisely and you will benefit both short term and long term. Proverbs 17:14 declares, “Starting a quarrel is like letting out water; stop it before strife breaks out!”
