For many people Christmas Day “is a wrap” for 2017. The presents are put away, the leftovers are being consumed, perhaps the gift money is being spent on some item listed at a sale price and the attention of many is now focussed towards what a new year might bring. Ed Dowdall wrote a song it might be good for us to consider at this time titled, “Christmas Isn’t Over.” It says:

We wait for Christmas all through the year
Then it seems like it’s over when its hardly here.
I guess that it happens all too fast
But here’s something to consider when the holiday is past.

Christmas isn’t over though the Christmas tree is gone
Where candles stood on windowsills all the curtains have been drawn.
Though friends and loved ones round you, you know may have to part
Christmas isn’t over when it’s Christmas in your heart.

Christmas isn’t over though the carollers have sung
And the bells that rang so joyfully on Christmas morn have rung.
The streets no longer glisten and the new year’s made a start
But Christmas isn’t over when it’s Christmas in your heart.

It’s what you bring to the table every time that you sit down
Remembering the holiday and the spirit that you’ve found.
Give the gift within you and the joy it can impart.
No, Christmas isn’t over when it’s Christmas in your heart.

Relationships do not end just because a special day has passed. They continue on, they grow, they enrich, they develop to new levels of connection. At least they do if they are healthy. In saying YES to the relationship with Yahweh through His Son, Jesus Christ you have the opportunity to experience a commitment that lasts for all of time and beyond. The celebration of a specific event connected to a special day is not an ending. It is simply a joyous occasion in a process of living that enhances our life and encourages us to continue to move forward together with the one whom we have grown to love.

May this day not be a time of emotional let down and melancholy, but a day of realization. It is a new day, with all the potential of being a terrific day, if we will chose to make it so. May you be encouraged and blessed as you go forth into your future. You are not alone. God loves you and cares for you and wants to be an intimate part of your life.

A very Merry Christmas and God’s blessings to you and your family on this day when we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ into our world. The Apostle John wrote in John 1:1-4;14, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God. {2} The Word was with God in the beginning. {3} All things were created by him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created. {4} In him was life, and the life was the light of mankind . . . . Now the Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We saw his glory – the glory of the one and only, full of grace and truth, who came from the Father.”

Jesus said one of the reason He came to this earth was so “that they may have life and have it in abundance” The Greek word He used for abundance means, “superabundant (in quantity) or superior (in quality); by implication excessive” (John 10:10) Strong’s Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.

It is my desire you learn and experience in your life this reality, mentally, emotionally, physiologically, financially and spiritually. I do hope you took advantage of the gift I offered you yesterday. If not, why not? Do not miss Joel Bauer’s two day weekend transformational training, Mentoring4Millions in Los Angeles January 13-14, 2018!

Today I want to offer you another gift which was given to our family recently. Are you having any challenges in your life mentally, emotionally, physiologically, financially or spiritually? I would suggest you check out the material of Stephen Joseph Pollitt of Source Healing Medicine. You can start your journey at https://www.sourceenergymedicine.com/. When you register you will have the opportunity to access a digital copy of Stephen’s book, Heal Thyself along with important component’s of his process at no cost to you.

Here is a short piece for his book to see if this is a fit for you. “If you have been to a chiropractor who uses applied kinesiology or muscle testing to see what is out of alignment or what supplements would be supportive, then our method of testing will make sense to you. If you have been to a holistic practitioner, homeopath, naturopath, herbalist, traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, acupuncturist, Reiki practitioner, energy healer, medical intuitive, the material in Heal Thyself will build on that experience.” If you have never had any contact with these fields of endeavour, but are open minded to new ideas, you may find great benefit in Source Energy Medicine. I leave it up to you as to whether you will search out and take advantage of this gift. It involves what you do with water and your cost involves your commitment and time to follow the system.

At this point, I am required to remind you this process does not have the FDA or Health Canada approval. Please consult with a professional in the field you are seeking direction from. I am simply sharing a source which many people have found very beneficial and our family is currently pursuing.

Charles Wesley who worked with his brother John were used by God in the development of a movement out of which the Methodist Church was formed and a number of holiness denominations came into existence. I have lead a congregation in of those groups whose roots are in Methodism for forty-three plus years. Charles Wesley wrote, “Faith, mighty faith, the promise sees, and looks to God alone; laughs at impossibilities, and cries it shall be done.”

A gift unopened is a gift of no value. What you do with this gift is your choice. To know and not to do is not to know.

Hallmark Christmas Movies often include the idea of having each person opening a single Christmas present on Christmas Eve. I do not know where this tradition originates, or whether it is a cultural idea, but it has not been a part of my history. But today, I want to extend to you an opportunity to take advantage of an incredible gift and opportunity which has the potential to make a major difference in your life. Fred Van Liew provided such a gift to our family a number of years ago and now I am passing it forward to you.

The blog articles I have been sharing with you daily over the last almost two years have been designed to not just make you think, but to provide important insight into how you can successfully move to greater freedom, health and empowerment of your true potential, mentally, emotionally, physiologically, financially and spiritually.

I would like to extend to you a no cost scholarship to Joel Bauer’s two day weekend transformational training, Mentoring4Millions in Los Angeles January 13-14, 2018. You will have the opportunity to Discover, Design and Deliver your gift. You can apply for this scholarship at https://lr342.isrefer.com/go/M4MRL/countryparson/. I would encourage you to take action quickly as seating is limited in the hotel room, by order of the Fire Marshall.

Even if you have been to one of Joel’s seminars previously, including his Master Class training, he is providing ever increasing insights and depth to what has been taught before. I want you to experience and live your life with increasing value and freedom in every area of life. I want you to have the chance to be able to take care of your family in ways you may have only dreamed about in the past. I desire for you to not only learn, but implement the strategies which will allow you to move towards your God given destiny.

It only takes a few minutes to fill in the scholarship application. Do it now! My gift to you because of Joel’s generosity. Zig Ziglar declared, “You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”

Tomorrow will be Christmas Day! Watch for another gift coming your way. Thomas Jefferson declared, “Do you want to know who you are? Don’t ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.” The Apostle Peter wrote in 1 Peter 1:5-8, “For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith excellence, to excellence, knowledge; {6}to knowledge, self-control; to self-control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness; {7}to godliness, brotherly affection; to brotherly affection, unselfish love. {8} For if these things are really yours and are continually increasing, they will keep you from becoming ineffective and unproductive in your pursuit of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ more intimately.”

A gift only has value if you accept it, open it, and implement it! What will you do with this gift?

Just a quick update and word of thanksgiving and praise to God regarding yesterday’s blog article. It was my intention today to stay home and get some editing done on a book I have been working on. Instead, this was another day of opportunity for flexibility. There was enough snow overnight to warrant the use of the snow blower to clean the driveway. When I got out to the drive shed I discovered I only had enough gasoline to clear the driveway today. That meant I would need to fill the gas can in preparation for the fact snow is predicted every day for the next week.

When we were shopping the other day my wife picked up a couple of items that were on sale in a community 25 minutes away. She decided two more of these items would be a really good idea since they were on sale for half price. In checking online for a lap top hard drive the electronics stores all said they had no stock regarding what my daughter was look for. Since I had to go to get gas and then go to pick up the items my wife wanted, I might as well call the electronics stores to see if they might have the hard drive we were looking for.

After attempting to call the three potential options multiple times with no one answering I was about to give up. Well, maybe I should try one more time. Matt at Staples picked up this time and checked his computer returning to reply, “It says I have one, but I will need to go and physically find it.” After what seemed like a long time, but probably wasn’t, he returned with our treasure in hand. Matt agreed to set it aside until I was able to drive there and purchased it. What seemed like an impossible situation wasn’t impossible after all. We are back to working on Plan A over the next week. It may not seem like much to you, but it was a big deal to us.

My stay at home plan changed to include seven different stops before I finally returned home. I was tired, but grateful and excited that I came home with every item on my list. I was reminded of the words of Jesus in Mark 10:27, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” We don’t know what we don’t know, but God does, and this is something to be reminded of from time to time.

As I was about to start to write this article, my daughter walked into the room to inform me the hard drive died on her computer. We had just made the decision the day before to attempt to change the shopping cart system for our family business before the end of the year. This was the computer she would have used to accomplish this task. It has all of her web design, server software installed. Fortunately a full back up of data to the network hard drive was done the day before. The time needed to get the computer operational with all the software programs reinstalled will not allow this project to proceed.

Initial investigation is not revealing a suitable hard drive available in any of the local electronics stores. Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for our area and the snow has already begun, so a hour plus travel each way in good weather to a major centre is not going to happen. With stores closed in this province for Christmas and Boxing Day and mail service unavailable, it will likely be the middle to end of next week before we get a hard drive.

So what do we do? Go to Plan B, or is it now Plan F or G? Flexibility is an important quality to not just keep on a shelf somewhere, but a tool you keep handy in your tool box to be take out and use as often as necessary.

When you have this quality, you have the ability to adapt and change as needed. You are also less impacted by the stress of rigidity. Your ability to be creative and make the best of a situation has an opportunity to reveal itself.

In times like this you are able to be open to the possibility of things working out for good, even when you cannot initially see that outcome.

In the last few days leading up to the activities and events surrounding this season of the year, how will you respond to the circumstances you will face? Will you be a victor or a victim? Your choice.
