January 1, 2017

This is the a new day and the first day of a new year. It has the potential to become what you determine to make it into. What you think, what you believe, what you say and the intentions of your heart matter, because they impact your actions, which will determine the outcomes you will create in this coming year. I began reading a book this past week written by Bob Proctor, titled, “You Were Born Rich.” In the introduction Bob Proctor writes, “You must, however, keep in the forefront of your mind one important fact: the rewards which you will receive in this life, material or psychic, will not come to you because of your potential, but rather, because of your performance.” Your thinking, believing, declaring and intending influence your actions, but it is YOUR ACTIONS, which determine your outcomes.

Everything you have been through in the past makes sense, the good, the bad, and the in between, when you realize it was designed in bringing you to where you are today. There are no coincidences in life. God is working through the circumstances in your life to move you to where you will be. As a result, we have the opportunity to come to the realization and beneficial understanding, as the Apostle Paul wrote in1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Be joyful always; {17} pray continually; {18} give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” An attitude of gratitude and thanksgiving will influence your actions and thus play a role in what your coming year will look like.

As we begin 2017, let’s live each day as a new day, a blessed day, believing something wonderful will happen each day as we make the conscious choice to make it so.
